GCL

The GCL (Government Category List) is a classified list of headings for use with the subject element of the e-GMS. The set of headings is recommended for website and portal directories.

GCL tags in the metadata of all resources from the UK public sector will make it much easier for citizens to find information.

The list is updated three times a year, and can be downloaded from the UK GovTalk site at:
