RSS Feed Utility
Many web sites publish summaries of their content using RDF Site Summary (RSS) feeds. For example, news sites often publish their headlines with short descriptions and links to the full stories.
With the addition of the RSS feed utility, Amaxus-driven Web sites can now read such feeds and syndicate content from a wealth of distributed Internet resources.
For example, incorporating news headlines from The Guardian website into an Amaxus web site is as simple as adding an RSS Feed block to a category and pointing it to appropriate URL for the RSS feed (http://www.guardian.co.uk/rss/1,,,00.xml).
Until now, site administrators would have had to copy headlines by hand and manually ensure they were always kept up-to-date. In its latest release, Amaxus takes care of the whole process automatically.
- RSS Syndication
Another new feature of Amaxus is the ability to enable sets of documents (e.g. ones detailing the 'Latest News' within your site) to be published as an RSS (RDF Site Summary) file.
In this way, an Amaxus-driven website can syndicate selected content as an RSS feed, an increasingly popular way of enabling your site headlines to be accessed and published by external websites. Multiple feeds can be defined, to highlight different types of website content.
Thus, your website can gain exposure via syndicated, tailored headlines that can be automatically created from your site's content by simply selecting an option within Amaxus.

Dynamic Image Zoom Tool
This tool allows Web sites to present potentially very large images in a convenient manner. Rather than simply placing such an image on a page, which would not only require a long download time but may also disrupt the page’s layout, a smaller, “zoomed-out” image is initially presented to the user.
The tool allows the user to select an area of interest in the image and automatically magnifies this area, revealing detail that is not present in the zoomed-out version.
For example, consider a photograph of the night sky. A detailed photograph would be too large to display on a web page. Without the zoom tool, there is little choice but to scale the image down and lose a lot of detail.
With the zoom tool, however, users can select the area of the sky they are interested in and zoom in to reveal hidden detail. The process of zooming can be repeated as much as the resolution of the image allows.

vCard Utility
vCards are the electronic equivalent of business cards and are the standard means for electronically exchanging contact details.
The vCard utility is an essential addition to Web pages that provide contact information. Instead of merely embedding text containing addresses, phone numbers and email links in Web pages, Amaxus can enhance such pages with vastly superior vCards.
The vCard utility not only generates vCards but can also deliver them to a user in a variety of ways. They can be emailed to the user or downloaded to the user’s PC, after which they can be imported by applications such as Outlook, which automatically adds contact details to the address book.
In addition, the vCard can also be sent directly to a mobile phone using SMS and can then be saved to the phone’s memory – avoiding any possibility of users forgetting or misdialling telephone numbers.
