About the British Computer Society
The British Computer Society (BCS) is an industry body for IT professionals and a Chartered Engineering Institution for IT. The BCS provides service and support to IT practitioners, employers, and the IT community.
The purpose of the BCS is to establish and promote appropriate educational and experience standards for IT professionals, and those entering courses of study in computing and related subjects. The BCS also serve as a body to generate awareness of the benefits of IT in the public arena.
