Case Study #2: Messaging and Collaboration

A business running on a legacy email system which was showing its age. The system was slow and limiting, sometimes taking significant time to send and receive email frustrating both customers and staff.  Most of the business operated using inefficient paper-based processes.

The solution was to implement an email system based on Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Outlook. The high-performance internal messaging improved the staff productivity, the calendaring and group scheduling features allowed people to manage their time more efficiently and work flow tools were developed to automate business processes.

Case Study #3: Legacy Business Applications

A business used a bespoke database application to manage it's clients and drive its business.  The business was rapidly diversifying with more people working from remote offices (including abroad).  The application was very database intensive and could not operate across the low-bandwidth connections connecting remote offices. A solution was needed to allow staff to continue to use the application in the new environment.

The solution was to implement a Citrix Metaframe and NFuse platform for remote application delivery. This enabled the application to be delivered to all the remote users and offices with the performance they demanded.

A business with a number of industrial and government clients wanted to be able to respond to customer concerns regarding the security of passing commercially sensitive information across their email systems.

The solution was to implement a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to enable the business to use Digital Certificates to sign (positively identify the sender) and encrypt (protect the contents) all emails with commercially sensitive content.
