We are committed to ensuring that our clients are well positioned to get the most out of Amaxus. One of the core ways we achieve this is through an extensive Training Program, which offers courses tailored to meet the needs of different types of users from Authors and Moderators to Administrators and Developers.

We understand that your time and money is limited. Instead of wasting either by expecting you to take courses that may not be useful, we offer a focused set of proven training opportunities as our core curriculum and then work with you on a one-to-one basis to create additional learning opportunities as you need them. We understand that learning is not ‘one size fits all’ and are committed to creating a programme that is your perfect fit.

Every item on the Core Training Schedule is offered at least once a month and can happen more frequently depending on demand. Our offices have a state-of-the-art training room, which can accommodate up to six people per session. Our preference is to keep class sizes small to ensure that students receive the attention and focus they need to be successful in the development of their skills. To accommodate our clients, we also frequently send our Instructors to locations across the UK to offer training on-site in the offices of our many clients.

Amaxus Core Training Schedule

Fundamentals Part 1 (4 hours)
This course takes you through the core tasks associated with creating and publishing content in Amaxus. You will learn how to:

• Create, upload and edit different kinds of content
• Insert images and other media files into your documents
• Use our built-in SEO and accessibility tools to ensure you are getting the most out of your content

Whether you are an experienced CMS user or are a complete novice, you will learn the basic skills that will allow you to harness the power of Amaxus.

Fundamentals Part 2 (4 hours)
Learn the more advanced fundamentals of Amaxus with this course that will take you through the finer points of using the Layout Editor and Site and Classification Manager. Learn more about:

• Templates
• Blocks
• Content Types
• SEO and Accessibility Awareness

Additional Module Session (4 hours)
Amaxus has been designed so that you are never paying for anything you don’t need. Our clients build on the powerful Amaxus core with the addition of modules that meet their specific web needs. In the Additional Module Session a training program is designed specially for you based on the modules you are using in your system.

Administrator CMS (1 day)
Amaxus is used by large organisations, many of whom have multiple individuals in different departments and occasionally even working out of disparate locations all contributing to their website. Amaxus makes managing this process easy and efficient. In this full day course you will learn to get the most out of:

• Managing users and groups
• Setting up workflow
• Personalisation
• Reporting

This course is designed to save you time and to help you ensure that all content meets your standard of quality and is in-line with your brand objectives.

Developer (3 days)
Amaxus clients are given access to the code that powers the Content Management System. Everything from style and structure to the ability to integrate AJAX, Flash, video and other web technologies is limited only by your internal expertise. In this in-depth course your developers will have access to some of the people responsible for the architecture and development of Amaxus.

Training Pre-requisites

We encourage all users who have not previously worked with a Content Management System to take Fundamentals Part 1 to ensure that you get the most out of your training sessions. Those wishing to skip Fundamentals 1 because of previous knowledge or experience should contact us at training@amaxus.com to arrange a short interview to determine whether a more advanced class is appropriate for your skill level. 

Amaxus Certification Programme

For clients who are interested in learning more then the basics, we are pleased to present the Amaxus Certification Program. This great professional development opportunity places you in an advanced category of Amaxus users, and allows you to add a specialisation layer to your CMS knowledge.

As an Amaxus Certified Professional you will have successfully completed Fundamentals Part 1 and at least one of the following:

• Fundamentals Part 2
• Administrator (CMS)
• Administrator (Server)
• Developer

After each applicable training course, those wishing to become Amaxus Certified will take an exam and with its successful completion, will receive a unique ID number and a certificate, and will join the powerful user base of Amaxus specialists.
