Adding keyboard shortcuts to web applications is notoriously difficult, due to conflicts with pre-defined (and user configurable) Operating System and Web Browser shortcuts.

However, for critical every-day applications like Content Management Systems, shortcuts are key (no pun intended) for regular user efficiency.

In Amaxus, we have ensured the main menu items are assigned non-conflicting shortcuts, together with an easy shortcut (and arrow-based subsequent navigation) for the universal search box. As such, you can conduct a search, navigate the results, and open a specific item of content for editing without using the mouse.
