Refreshed BCS Brand Launches New Website and Member Network

BCS ScreenshotBCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, has launched its new website and Online Member Network, powered by leading Web Content Management System, Amaxus.

The new BCS site reflects its refreshed vision and visual identity and is a model of User Experience Design (UX) including intuitive, consistent navigation, and a clean visual feel, which clearly articulates its refreshed brand. Box UK, the organisation behind Amaxus, was honoured to be a part of this project from its inception, having worked on the original web strategy, Information Architecture and wireframe development.

Accompanying the new site is the Member Network. This full-featured Social Network is a private area where BCS members can interact with one another, create groups, promote their online activities (eg. blogs and Twitter) and contribute to a rich database of information by using a bespoke ‘Ask the Expert’ tool.

"Amaxus 4 is a powerful, fast and sophisticated CMS that provides the platform we need to expand our online provision and capability," said Carl Harris, BCS Website Manager.

“The team at BCS has shown an amazing amount of vision throughout this project. We are so pleased to have been able to contribute at various levels to the development of this new Amaxus-driven site,“ said Benno Wasserstein, Managing Director of Box UK. “Increasingly, organisations are looking for new ways to engage with their stakeholders online. We are very pleased that the technical work that resulted from the BCS Member Network will now be made a permanent, value-add option for all Amaxus clients.”
